Wes Sullens
Director, Codes Technical Development; Materials and Resources at U.S. Green Building Council
A LEED Fellow, Wes directs Materials & Resources activities at the U.S. Green Building Council. He is responsible for the materials credits in LEED and leads organizational activities related to construction waste, product manufacturing, material transparency, circular economy, and embodied carbon. He has worked in the public, private and nonprofit sectors for twenty years on broad topics including climate change, building codes, supply chain sustainability, and chemicals transparency. Prior to joining the U.S. Green Building Council, Wes worked as senior program manager for the built environment at StopWaste, a local government agency of Alameda County, California, and served for several years at energy & sustainability consult at DNV GL.
