Jeff Frost
Project Manager and Materials Specialist at Brightworks Sustainability
Jeff is recognized in the U.S. as a national subject matter expert on how building material choices affect human health, climate change and the environment. He has worked for nearly twenty years to simplify the process of selecting sustainable building materials.
In partnership with a coalition of building owners and industry peers, Jeff is leading the establishment of a comprehensive, repeatable accounting method for the embodied carbon emissions of building projects with the goal of its inclusion in corporate reporting methods.
Jeff acts as a hub of connection points in the material and design industries. He is the co-founder of the national mindful MATERIALS Collaborative, current steering committee member and chair of the financial oversight task force, and a former member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Material Knowledge Working Group (MKWG). He is an elected member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Materials and Resources Technical Advisory Group (TAG), and former co-chair of the Health Product Declaration Collaborative’s (HPDC) Content Inventory Technical Subgroup.
Before joining Brightworks, Jeff served as an integrated design specialist at SERA Architects and a sustainability project manager at SmithGroupJJR in Phoenix.
