Ishar Mayor

Ishar Mayor is a Certification Associate at the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, where he plays a role in ensuring products meet the rigorous standards of the Cradle to Cradle Certified® Product Standard. He conducts technical reviews of certification applications, assesses product compliance, and provides crucial support to stakeholders. In addition, Ishar oversees entities conducting conformity assessments, maintains consistency across standards, and contributes to the development of certification processes and tools.

Ishar's deep passion for sustainability and the environment was sparked during his childhood and has guided his career ever since. His interdisciplinary education has instilled in him a systems thinking approach, allowing him to see the bigger picture in tackling environmental challenges. Before joining the Institute, Ishar conducted research on the aquatic fern Azolla in a plant biology laboratory, exploring its potential applications in the circular economy. He also worked on biodiversity and circular economy initiatives within European reporting standards as part of Signify's sustainability team.

Ishar is committed to using his scientific expertise to address pressing social, humanitarian, and climate issues. He holds a Master of Science in Bioinspired Innovation from Utrecht University and a Bachelor of Science from University College Utrecht.
