Donna Westerman
VP of Supply, Procurement, Quality and Logistics at Somfy Systems
As CEO of the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC), Donna Westerman led the development and implementation of SPLC programs, empowering procurement and supply chain professionals internationally in embracing high-impact sustainable purchasing practices. Westerman has devoted herself to leading strategic and tactical solutions for large-scale corporate initiatives, commodity and country risk analysis, sustainable sourcing, and human rights.
Westerman came to SPLC from Verisk Maplecroft, where she served in a number of positions, including Vice President of Environment, Sustainability, and Governance (ESG); Head of Retail and Consumer Goods; and Head of Consulting. In these positions, she developed and enhanced CSR programs and processes for global retail and consumer clients and focused on driving business growth and profitability in ways that delivered positive societal impact.
From 2008 to 2016, she held several leadership roles within Mars, Inc, including Director, Global Corporate Social Responsibility; Supply Diversity, Wrigley Corp (2008-2013) and Vice President of Responsible Sourcing (2013-2016). Before her tenure at Mars, Westerman introduced a social accountability program including health and safety, human rights, and ethical/environmental principles as Director of Diversity & Social Accountability/Global Supply Chain for Avon Products (2002-2006). Before 2002, Westerman held positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb as Director, Global IT; Director, Supplier Diversity and Social Accountability; and Manager, MRO Purchasing.
Westerman's academic credentials include an MBA in Industrial Relations and a BS in Business Administration and Marketing from Seton Hall as well as a Certification in Corporate Social Responsibility from Harvard Business School.
